Last week GEL staff members hosted colleagues from the Critical Minerals Challenge Centre at the University of Exeter at the United Downs Geothermal Power Plant.
The purpose of the visit was to provide an update on the geothermal power plant and lithium extraction project in United Downs, in addition to discussing collaboration with the Challenge Centre going forward. Working closely with academia is a vital part of GEL’s mission to develop innovative geothermal power and lithium projects in Cornwall. The University of Exeter and Camborne School of Mines Association provide a fantastic range of academic expertise and facilities which will aid in the advancement of geothermal power and critical minerals projects across the county.
