Recently, Jane and Claudia from our Community Engagement and Education team attended the Helston Community College year 9 business speed networking event. This gave the students an opportunity to talk to local businesses about job opportunities, the qualifications needed to progress into a particular sector and to find out about jobs they did not know existed. This event will help the students when they select their GCSE options in a few weeks’ time. After the school day finished, parents and carers were invited to meet the businesses that had caught the interest of their children.
