Cornwall’s geothermal resource can be utilised to produce 24/7 renewable electricity and heat, as well as offer the potential for lithium extraction.

Geothermal developments are designed to target specific geological structures, but also consider a broad range of land-based constraints when looking for a new project locations.

GEL has acquired planning consent for geothermal projects at three sites in Cornwall to date with a fourth site currently under consideration in the planning system.  Future progress updates of the approved sites will be published on the website.
